Kansas City, Missouri– Day 4 (Overnight)

The next step on our adventure was MILO Farm just outside of Kansas City, Missouri. MILO Farm has been considered sacred land by many groups, from the Osage Indians to the Mormons. MILO Farm is a nonprofit focused on sustainability, art, agriculture, spiritual, health, community, ecology, and construction education to the public. The 50 acres are honored and decorated in so many different ways. Our favorites were the DM Cabin, the Gnome Home, and the MILO Library. The DM Cabin is a Civil War-era cabin that was used in the movie Don’t Move (2025). It was easy to imagine what it would have been like to live there during that time because it has been kept in great condition. The Gnome Home is an area featuring a lot of entertaining gnomes, reminding us of family and reminding us to have fun. The MILO Library was decorated beautifully and well-stocked and organized with tons of books.

We were able to visit with some of the animals that call the farm home, swing in a few hammocks, and explore around the property before calling it and heading to our next stop.

There are a lot of unique places to stay at MILO Farm. We stayed in the Bunk House after it was recommended we move there from the Vardos Dragon Wagon Circle because of heavy rains. We would like to stay in the Boho bus when we visit next. a bus converted into a living space. We did not have enough time to visit all the different places at the farm. What we were able to do was amazing and fun.
