We made it to Loveland, Colorado, and picked up a pizza for dinner at Arte Pizzeria. It was delicious and hit the spot for what we were craving. They have been voted the best pizza in Loveland multiple years in a row, and it was right around the corner from where we would be staying for the night: The Oasis on Eisenhower!
The Oasis on Eisenhower is a Museinn (museum + inn) featuring four themed rooms with seemingly endless art, artifacts, and history available for viewing. The building was originally built in 1904 as an orphanage on 200 acres! We booked the Jewel suite, which looked to me like royal quarters meets circus. It is colorful, fun, and exciting in and of itself. We got in late again and saved our exploring for the morning.
I was the first to explore; the first floor has fossils, gems, media (DVDs, VHSs, and books), Elvis, an old pinball machine, and all kinds of art. Outside is the hot tub, improvised art, and an animal enclosure. The kiddo loved the upright piano, multiple Elvis cutouts, the Bob Ross plushie, and finding art pieces we missed.
We decided to head to the Loveland Visitor Center for a pit stop, and I am so grateful that we did!
